Job Description
Our Managed Services department supports the internal IT environment as well as customer base. Working closely with different teams, the Managed Service department works to ensure that we plan, build and deploy the appropriate IT business solutions to support to our workforce. We work with interesting technology, supporting a highly available and highly secure environment with no down-time. Our Support group plays a key role in our operations and problem management processes. We have invested in technologies such as Windows 2003/2008; corporate network in Cisco / Juniper network environment and security

Requirements:
As part of this department reporting to the Director, you will be working with a dedicated team to provide Information Technology tools and support services to our internal and external clients. Helping us build, implement and apply state-of-the-art IT methodologies and applications.

Your experience with Microsoft Technologies & IP Telephony has prepared you to work through any challenge presented from user problems to policy questions to knowing the technical nitty-gritty. You have previous experience with hands-on implementation and enhancement of Microsoft & IPT infrastructure.

Your proven analytical and problem-solving skills will also come in handy. As a Microsoft & IPT Telephony expert, you'll work with other technology experts to ensure the continued successful operation of our Integrated Suite of Products, using our highly available, highly secure mandate as your backdrop.

For this position, we are looking for an expert who supports Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, BES, Share Point Portal Server, Cisco IP Telephony services including Call Manager, Voice gateways and Unity voicemail along with related technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, designing, securing and implementing Microsoft Active Directory in a large scale, multi-domain environment & Server Base Builds.
  • Maintaining & managing Microsoft Exchange along with the Blackberry Enterprise Server
  • Maintaining & managing Microsoft Share Point Server
  • Maintaining and monitoring the development, staging and production environments using different tools such as Microsoft Operation Manager (MOM), Systems Management Server (SMS), etc
  • Installing and upgrading servers, associated peripherals and enterprise applications
  • Designing and configuring systems according to industry standards and best practices
  • Documenting build instructions, monitoring and maintenance plans for server environments, adhering to stringent standards
  • Ensuring successful system backups and restoration
  • Security planning & Capacity planning
  • Preparing reports to various stakeholders regarding SLAs performance
  • Working with various team members to conduct proof of concept trials, pilot and production deployments
  • Acting as a technical advisor you will share your knowledge regarding systems requirements and capabilities with both technical and non-technical co-workers.
  • Manage and support our telephony services and Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide support services in the areas of monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the organization's converged IP Telephony network and systems.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for routine moves/adds/changes in IPT infrastructure.
  • Provide support in the resolution of IPT related problems and the timely completion of trouble tickets.
  • Coordinate the testing and deployment of voice infrastructure and other telecommunication system changes.
  • Create and maintain IPT support documentation, procedures, and diagrams.
  • Investigate, test and evaluate new or upgrade IPT products and services.
  • Provide after-hours critical incident support and project implementation support.
  • Participate in rotational on call pager duty. Occasional travel between sites in GTA.

Experience:

  • At least 5 to 7 years experience in a Microsoft role in a medium to large organization. A minimum of 2 years experience in networking with LAN and WAN technologies (ISDN PRI, T1, T3, QOS) and associated data and VoIP network protocols (TCP/IP, H.323, MGCP)
  • Administrator level skills in supporting an enterprise wide Voice over IP (VOIP) telephony solution, using Cisco´s AVVID technology.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Call Manager, voice gateways, IP Contact Center and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting and enhancing Unity Voicemail/Unified Messaging, Exchange/Unity Integration, Personal Assistant, Voice Recognition Applications and Video Conferencing.
  • In-depth experience with the following server technologies: Windows 2000/2003 Server, Active Directory, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, Exchange 2000/2003, Systems Management Server (SMS), Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES), Virtual Server – VMM/ VMware, print servers, backup/restore, storage, clustering, load balancing, Microsoft´s Business Desktop Deployment (BDD) solution, SharePoint Server etc.
  • In-depth experience with the following client technologies: Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003 including Outlook 2003, etc.
  • In-depth experience with information security technologies including firewalls, VPN, content filtering, RSA, encryption, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, etc.
  • Experience in an ITIL environment is required.

  • Experience working with others in a project environment and experienced in collecting and defining business requirements.
  • Experience in planning, designing and building highly available solutions based on Microsoft Server technologies
  • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft services (i.e. DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Terminal Services)
  • Proven success resolving all technical and development issues arising throughout all phases of a product life cycle.
  • A University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification
  • Cisco CCVP (CVOICE, CIPT, QOS, GWGK,IPTT) and ITIL certification is an asset
  • MCSA or MCSE 2000/2003 certification is required.
