Data Migration
There is no “one size fits all” approach to data migration. Some of the factors that must be considered include:
- Source and target storage devices
- Host operating system and application platform
- Type and capabilities of the storage network
- Availability of downtime or maintenance windows
- Remote replication considerations
Only once all aspects of the data environment and business requirements are understood can a data migration methodology be specified.
FlexITy experience in data migrations is second to none. We have successfully executed migrations for environments ranging from hundreds of gigabytes to hundreds of terabytes with no loss of data or interruption to production activity (other than that planned as part of the migration activity).
We are able to do this because of our deep experience across all major storage, storage network and host platforms. We understand how all of these components work with each other and how best to successfully execute such a critical activity.
